Self-portraits, a timeless genre in the art world, have captivated audiences for centuries. Artists, across different epochs and styles, have been drawn to capturing their own image on canvas. But why do artists paint self-portraits? I wanted to dig deeper into the intriguing motivations behind this artistic practice. And here are few of my observations.

In December of 2023 I had a joy of viewing an art exhibition of smaller works. In this way of artistic expression, there's something utterly enchanting about embracing the beauty of small wonders.

My mind tends to lean toward the abstract. In a gallery or museum, I naturally gravitate towards abstract art before exploring figurative pieces. However, my own artwork is figurative and surreal, blending elements of abstraction into my creations.

For Art Miami Week 2023, I Immersed myself in the vibrant world of Morin's compelling artwork at the Wishbone Gallery at Scope. Bold figures with abstract bodies, comically oversized forms, and intentional eyelessness invite contemplation on personal and social narratives.

Unrealistic standards and expectations of women, the importance of embracing one's authentic self cannot be overstated. The journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance is powerful, and women must recognize the significance of being true to themselves.  

Delilah’s meaning is delicate and weak, yet if I look at my horse Delilah, she’s nothing, as mentioned in this sentence. There is tons of Delilalh’s meaning, but I chose these two to be meaningful for my painting.
