THE PRIVATE COLLECTOR PREVIEW

For four months, I have been working on one of the most ambitious paintings I have created so far.

Elevenwomen gather around a table. No one is performing. No one is asking for permission to be seen.

At the center sits a woman who seems to understand something the others are still negotiating.

The objects on the table — gloves, citrus, pearls, a lobster — feel less like decoration and more like witnesses.

Some conversations don’t happen out loud.
